FAQ about massage therapy
Do I have to be undressed?
No. You may keep on any clothing you would like, or you may undress completely. Either way, you will be completely covered in the drape. Keep in mind, your therapist cannot access any part of you that is clothed, unless otherwise specified based on the type of massage. For instance, your therapist will not be able to massage under a bra strap while massaging the back.
Does getting a massage hurt?
A massage should not hurt, but if you feel the pressure is to hard your therapist will adjust it immediately. They will be checking in on pressure throughout the entire massage. Please tell your therapist whenever you need the pressure adjusted.
What if I am embarrassed about my body?
Remember that massage therapists are professionals who are sensitive to possible client issues with touch and are non-judgmental about your body weight, amount of hair, skin conditions, scars, disabilities, medical conditions, or personal history of trauma.
